I believe that you are the expert on yourself and I will work in collaboration with you to explore your experiences and feelings, finding ways to help you heal and move forward with your life.

A trained and practising therapist, I draw on over a decade of experience with clients in a variety of settings to intuitively tailor the sessions, combining different therapeutic tools, according to your individual needs.

My personal and professional journey led to an interest in vulnerability, shame and compassion and these themes often form part of my work. Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) is about developing a sensitivity to suffering in the self and in others with a commitment to relieve and prevent it and a large part of my approach involves helping clients to develop a more compassionate voice within. Alongside talking therapy, I use a variety of techniques, including guided breathing, imagery and visualisations all of which can help to quieten down the critical voice that we often carry around within us and which can hold us back.

In today’s digital world many of us shoulder a level of shame about being imperfect which can prevent us from talking or helping ourselves.

This voice in our heads can fuel our pain and cause discomfort and emotional distress. When you walk through my door you enter a completely non-judgmental space and a relationship of absolute trust, confidentiality and mutual respect where we can explore these issues and find ways to help you move forward.

My integrative approach will help you acquire the skills to regulate your emotional world using compassion.
